Job description
Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, increase profitability, and create store policies and marketing programs that will increase sales and grow the existing customer base.
Key Performance Areas:
- Monitor the gross profit and drive store sales
- Grow the existing business
- Manage budgets and targets
- Manage the performance of teams within the various departments
- Create strategies to promote and improve customer service
- Control and maintain brand quality
- Create marketing strategies to increase sales
- Execute plans to maintain excellent compliance and operational standards
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- A retail qualification would be advantageous
- 3-4 years experience in a senior store management position
- Passion for entrepreneurial thinking
- Must be assertive and excellent in decision making
- Efficient in building strategic relationships with staff and customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A self-starter, with planning and organizing skills
- Sound knowledge of retail legal/compliance and commercial requirements
- Sound financial and numeracy skills
- Strong influencing and leadership skills
- Highly motivated, focused, and driven individual that is goal oriented and passionate
Inherent Job Requirements:
- Be available to work flexible hours in consideration of retail operational demands
- Valid SA driver’s license
- Own transport
- Be prepared to relocate
