REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Requirement: Basic knowledge of literacy and numeracy. Experience: Adequate experience as a linen shop assistant in CSSD. Inherent job requirements: Willingness to work shifts and overtime, including holidays and weekends. Willingness to relieve in other departments. Ability to perform heavy physical labor and stand for long hours. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Appropriate experience in assembling and packing different packages of room and theater clothing. Good interpersonal relationships with supervisor, colleagues and the public. Ability to function in a group. Ability to read, speak and write in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
DUTIES: Demonstrate knowledge of folding clothes, assembling and packing for theater and halls. Sort and bag laundry and monthly clothing stock count of all theater clothing. Check the bedding received from the laundry every day. Ability to sort and count dirty clothes on a daily basis. Mop and dust the Main Central Sterilization Services Department (CSSD) and the linen room.
